Hendrickson Custom Builders tailors its process to the size, complexity and nature of each project. The following process is typical for major remodeling projects.
Phone Consult
After a brief phone consultation, we may ask you to complete a remodeling checklist to capture and organize your goals, preferences, expectations, identify issues with design and budget.
On-Site Consultation
We will meet in your home or business to discuss your remodeling checklist, review images you have collected and take measurements for Building Plans and Documents. At this point we will come to a design agreement. This down payment ($500 for average sized projects) will be put toward the initial costs of the project.
Conceptual Design & Material Specifications
After we complete your drawings we will present you with some options for materials, suppliers, and building trends. Depending on your choices for fixtures, cabinets, countertops, etc. – we will be able to put together an accurate Project Estimate with a guarantee that the customer will not pay a dime more than the price stated in the contract. Another way to say it, all details will be accounted for before we begin your project. This will ensure timely completion of your project as well as staying within your budget.
Contract Meeting
We will present the Detailed Contract with Final Drawings and Specifications. We will all go over contract together and correct anything before signing. Once the contract is signed and progress payment received, we will get the ball rolling.
Pre-Construction
We will acquire necessary permits, order material, coordinate trade partners and set a tentative start date.
Construction
We will install dust barriers and floor protection, perform demolition, perform all Rough and Finish Carpentry, Supervise subcontractors and Cleanup once job is complete.
Final Walk-through
We will complete punchlist items, share warranty documents and collect the final payment.
