Plan Review
We can help you understand sometimes rather complex building plans. From here we can get an idea of material quantities and material types depending on the customers' needs and preferences. From this initial plan review, the project manager/estimator will be able to compile an estimate for the customer to review.
Constructibility Consultation
After reviewing the plans, we will come up with a list of design details that we will need to pay particular attention to when and if the project starts. Sometimes, the plans and drawings don't correlate with real world applications. With our vast experience in remodeling and building, we can spot these problem areas before it ends up halting the project and/or costing the customer money for changes.
We will also make the customer aware about long lead items such as custom size windows, custom steel or prefabricated trusses, beams, etc... To ensure a timely completion, the customer will have to make certain decisions before the project starts in order for Hendrickson Custom Builders, Inc. to schedule and complete the project efficiently.
Estimate
Once we receive drawings, specifications, and other building documents, we are able to prepare a detailed estimate.
In order to do this thoroughly, we will visit the building site, consult with the owner/building manager, and perform any physical tests to determine safety issues regarding lead abatement and soil conditions.
This process is usually no longer than two weeks. However large Design/Build projects could be quite intensive, and therefore, take longer to put together.
Project Management
We have a proven track record when it comes to completed projects on time and within budget. We collaborate with everybody on the job site in order to deliver an outstanding finished product. A construction site can be chaotic at times. But, with the many years of experience in Project Management we are able to keep up with and manage project demands.
We also let the customer know details about the schedule as well as when they need to make decisions about products/materials in order to keep the project on schedule. This way communication is flowing both ways, which in turn, minimizes stress and maximizes efficiency.
